Strong Foundations

Introduction

We all have questions, but some are more important than others.  Some become important at specific times on our journey through life.  Some are foundational, and that is what I would like us to explore on this site.  Two questions in particular stand out,

  • What is a Christian?
  • How do I become a Christian?

For a long time now, I have been dissatisfied by the answers to these questions being offered by the Christian groups I belong to and am in contact with.

Here are some examples of the sort of answers which are on offer.

Many Christians are beginning to recognise that this approach does not work for an increasing number of people (see, for example, “You Must Admit You Are A Sinner!”: Why This Doesn’t Work in Post Christendom Evangelism by David Finch).

Foundations matter!  This is especially true when you are seeking to build - or rebuild - a life.

We don't claim to know everything, or understand perfectly.  But we are seeking ...

  • to know,
  • to understand,
  • to live and
  • to share

the things that seem to matter most.

If you think we are missing something, get involved and contribute.

What Matters?

A quick list of the things which matter the most when building a life:

  • truth
  • spirituality
  • community
